The blackest black ever? Quite possibly. It certainly is the blackest black from Platinum coming out considerably darker than Platinum's Carbon Black. “Chou Kuro” ink was developed with the goal of achieving the ultimate blackness for fountain pen ink. The inks pigment particles react and gather with the mineral components in the paper, resulting in remarkably condensed blackness, according to Platinum.
Safety: As with any pigment ink you should little extra care with it. Never allow the ink to dry out and do not use in valuable or sentimental pens. Careful maintenance is required to ensure that “Chou Kuro” ink stays intensely black. Platinum advise to only use purified water for cleaning, NOT tap water which contains minerals which will react with the ink.
Orders placed before 3pm Monday to Friday will normally be sent out the same day.
