TRAVELER’S COMPANY FAQs
What’s the history of TRAVELER’S COMPANY?
Travelers notebooks have been made since 2006, but at the time they were a product made by Midori, who still exist as a Japanese stationery brand. In 2014 Midori decided to create TRAVELER’S COMPANY as a separate brand to sell the very popular notebooks and accessories.
What makes TRAVELER’S COMPANY different?
As the name suggests, the TRAVELER’S notebook was designed with travellers in mind. That means they are made to take a bit of a beating. The leather cover and elastic fastener make for a durable and secure notebook. The leather cover also means the notebooks look ‘aged’ over time, so they look well-loved and used rather than tatty. They are also refillable, so you can reuse them over and over again.
By using bands to hold them together, you can put multiple notebooks inside one cover, making them very flexible - a lined book for notes and a sketchbook for drawing; one book for work and one for personal; a notebook, a diary and a watercolour book; a bullet journal made up of one book for long-term collections and another for daily logs and temporary stuff. Your setup can be exactly what you need.
Recommended TRAVELER’S COMPANY products
One of TRAVELER’S COMPANY’s most popular products is the standard leather notebook. It comes in different colours and has a refill of staple-bound 80gsm blank sheets of MD (Midori Diary) paper. It includes an elastic band (and a spare) to keep all your notes secure.
Part of the beauty of a TRAVELER’S COMPANY notebook is that they are customisable with their accessories. You can get connecting bands to allow you to two or three refills inside the leather cover, or penholders, or bookmarks, or label plates, or repair kits. The list goes on.
