Shunichi Nakata founded Platinum, one of the world's foremost manufacturers of fountain pens, in 1919. To celebrate the company's 100th anniversary they have produced 'The Prime', an extremely limited edition #3776 fountain pen.
This stunning pen is made entirely of platinum. Only 100 have been made, and only 1 is available for sale in the UK. Engraved with its unique serial number, the design is reminiscent of the 'Platinum Platinum', which appeared in 1967 and was the world's first fountain pen to feature a platinum nib.
Shunichi Nakata regarded platinum as the 'king of metals' and this is certainly a 'king of fountain pens'! At 136.8mm long and with a 14.6mm diameter at its widest point, it weighs in at 62g, so this is a substantial pen. It features Platinum's Slip and Seal mechanism, the primary benefit of which is improved ink storage ability and a resistance to leaks.
This beautiful pen - available with a hand-crafted medium nib in platinum - is presented in an exclusive, specially-crafted wooden box. It includes a 100th anniversary original pen stand, a 60ml bottle of blue-black ink, a blue-black ink cartridge and a 700 converter.
Please note:As this is an exclusive, special order item, it is non-refundable. The pen comes with a one year guarantee from Platinum. These terms do not affect your statutory rights.
Orders placed before 3pm Monday to Friday will normally be sent out the same day.
FREE Royal Mail Standard delivery for orders over £40, and just £3 for smaller orders. Royal Mail Priority is available as an option, for £2.50 on orders over £40, £5.50 on smaller orders. Express available for £7.50, or FREE with any order over £400. No delivery surcharges for Northern Ireland, Highlands & Islands or anywhere else!
International deliveries vary in cost, so you'll need to add the items you want to your basket, and enter the checkout to see the options for delivery. Prices and payment methods will reflect your country, and many countries have all taxes and duties included to make things easier and more predictable.
For all orders outside the UK, heavy orders may cost more to send, but the shipping cost will be displayed in the checkout before you commit.
