Limited Edition, only 400 pens being produced!
Available by special order only! Expected delivery within 2-4 weeks.
Each limited edition of Graf von Faber-Castell's Pen of the Year commemorates a culture that has inspired and shaped the history of humankind. They are not only pens, but remarkable works of art.
The Pen of the Year 2024 is inspired by the Ottoman Empire, especially between the 16th and 18th centuries. This period, known as The Turquerie, witnessed the mixing of Ottoman and European cultures, leading to mutual inspiration.
The overall pen design is influenced by Ottoman tents, with its blue and silver stripes and jewelled tassel designs. Each pen is studded with 18 rubies. The end of the cap features a tortoise with a candle on its back. Ottoman Sultans would stick candles onto the shells of tortoises, so as the tortoises explored the tulip gardens at night, the lights could be seen 'floating' among them, a reminder to the Sultans to take things slowly and allow time for contemplation.
The barrel and cap are guilloched, and feature blue lacquer inlays. All metal parts are plated with platinum and highly polished.
The nib is a magnum size, in 18-carat bicolour gold, in a choice of sizes. The grip section echoes the barrel and cap, with a guilloched pattern under blue lacquer.
The pen is presented in a luxurious wooden gift box, designed to match the pen's styling.
Orders placed before 3pm Monday to Friday will normally be sent out the same day.
FREE Royal Mail Standard delivery for orders over £100, and just £3.50 for smaller orders. Royal Mail Priority is available as an option, for £3.50 on orders over £100, £5.50 on smaller orders. Express available for £9, or FREE with any order over £400. No delivery surcharges for Northern Ireland, Highlands & Islands or anywhere else!
International deliveries vary in cost, so you'll need to add the items you want to your basket, and enter the checkout to see the options for delivery. Prices and payment methods will reflect your country, and many countries have all taxes and duties included to make things easier and more predictable.
