Wearingeul takes inspiration from different writers and works of literature through history and create vivid, high quality inks. Their aim is to enjoy and appreciate the essence of literature in our lives and to encourage a more emotional lifestyle where everything has meaning.

The World Myths and Legends collection features inks inspired by different myths and legends throughout history from all over the globe.

  • Hades: Inspired by the Greek god of the underworld and death, Hades embodies retrained beauty with a deep black reminiscent of the underworld. This shimmering ink is littered with frozen blue glitter which gives it an ethereal look to capture the essence of the afterlife.

  • Anubis: The lord of the Underworld is one of the most significant figures in Ancient Egyptian mythology, Anubis was credited with inventing the mummification process which enabled people to live on in the afterlife should they be worthy. Anubis was also said to be the guide of souls and was often depicted guiding souls across the threshold between the world of the living and the afterlife. One of his more famous roles however was the weighing of hearts, where Anubis would weigh a persons heart against the truth -which was usually represented as an ostrich feather- to judge their worthiness to enter the afterlife. Hearts heavier than the feather would be devoured by Ammit while those lighter would ascend to the afterlife.
This ink is warm brown-black with gold and red copper glitter to imitate some of the popular accessories worn by the ancient Egyptians

  • Chaac: The Aztec god of rain, thunder and lightning. He was said to strike the clouds with his lightning axe which caused thunder and rain.
Orange brown ink to symbolize the land of the Maya with gold glitter to represent lightning and silver glitter to represent rain drops.
  • Enki: The god of wisdom and the god of water in Sumerian mythology. Enki Ink is an impressive ink with dramatic colour separation. From the enigmatic blue colour, a mystical violet colour rises, and like sunlight shimmering on flowing water, golden glitter gleam above the ink.

  • The Great Sage Heaven's Equal: Inspired by Hwangryonpro and the golden headband worn by Sun Wukong -The Great Sage Heaven's Equal-, this striking red ink is complemented by a vibrant golden shimmer.

  • Heimdall: The son of Odin and nine mothers, the god Heimdall features heavily in Norse mythology and was known for keeping watching for invaders and the onset of Ragnarok from his residence in Himinbjörg, which is where the burning rainbow bridge called the Bifröst was said to meet heaven.

  • Hwanung: According to Korean Mythology, Hwanung was the son of the god, Hwanin, who came down to the human world and played a role in founding Gojoseon, the first kingdom of Korea.
The ink aims to show the colour of a cloudy, windy sky with shading of dusty sky blue and dark violet.

  • Persephone: Prevalent in Greek and Roman mythology, Persephone became the queen of the Underworld, after the goddess was abducted by Hades. The ink is dark violet in colour with red glitter embedded to the ink designed to represent pomegranate seeds.
  • Sedna: The goddess of the sea and marine animals in Inuit mythology, she is also known as the Mother of the Sea or Mistress of the Sea. Lots of contrasting stories surround Sedna, but some myths suggest she was the ruler of Adlivun, the Inuit underworld and some paint her as the daughter of the creator-god, Anguta, and others suggest she is also the daughter of the goddess Isarrataitsoq.
Sedna ink is a beautiful blue.

  • Vayu: Vayu is the Hindu god of the winds and the divine messenger of the gods, an important deity and closely associated with Indra, King of Gods. He is said to be born from the breath of the supreme being, Vishvapurusha and the first one to drink Soma, a traditional Vedic ritual drink. In later Hindu scriptures, he is described as a Dikpala, the guardian of the North-west.
Emerald ink with a soft pink sheen once dried.

  • Verethragna: Verethragna, who is also known by the name Bahram is an ancient Deity who can be found in references to Indo-Iranian culture dating back over 2000 years. He is often associated with victory.
The vivid violet colour selected for this ink is intended to represent the powerful strength and dauntless mind of Veretheragna.

  • Zemyna: Originating in Lithuanian religion, Zemyna is the goddess of the earth and is usually referred to as mother goddess, one of the chief Lithuanian gods. It was believed that she represented the fertile earth and was responsible for nourishing all life on earth. Death also plays a large part in her lore with all life returning to the earth once they had passed.

This ink comes in a smartly packaged square bottle containing 30ml of ink.
