The Charles 1870 Gherkin takes its design from the London skyscraper of the same name. The precision-engineered metal barrel carries legacy diamond detail, which picks up the building’s diamond-patterned glass façade and Tom Hessin’s own diamond motif. The surface plays with texture and light.
In Sky Blue, the barrel is finished in sky blue lacquer, with a British-made chrome clip, a bird emblem finial and a Tom Hessin logo band. The chrome-finish JoWo iridium nib gives a reliably smooth writing experience, and the screw-close cap gives a tighter, more reliable seal. It comes with two black ink cartridges and a converter, in a luxury Tom Hessin gift box. It’s also backed by a two-year mechanical warranty.
