S.T.Dupont began making luxury goods for travellers in Rue Dieu in Paris, in 1872. But it wasn't until 1973, at the request of Jackie Kennedy Onassis, that they made their first pen. With hindsight, it was probably an obvious thing to do. They were well respected for their lighters, which are a combination of precision mechanisms and jewellery-grade finishes, made to be stylish accessories. The same skills and craftsmanship translate perfectly to making pens.
This special edition of the Initial is designed in collaboration with Fender, and features the Fender logo engraved around the grip, and the outline of a Stratocaster on the barrel. The Strat is probably the best known Fender guitar, an iconic design played by many of the greatest guitarists, including Mark Knopfler, Buddy Holly, Hank Marvin, David Gilmour, Yngwie Malmsteen, and George Harrison.
Solid and simple, the Initial is an homage to the original Classique pen. The shiny black lacquer barrel contrasts nicely against the shiny polished chrome cap and trim. For extra practicality, the clip is internally sprung, to attach to even quite thick pockets without risking damage.
Twist-action ballpoint pen, uses standard G2 'Parker-style' refills, so you'll always have plenty of options available. Fitted with black hybrid-ink EasyFlow refill for super-smooth writing.
135mm long, 11mm wide. Weighs 38g.
