For Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee, Retro wanted to do something special, so they made a rollerball pen commemorating the occasion which will be limited to just 700 pieces, available exclusively in the UK.
The pen design is based on the dress worn by Queen Elizabeth II at the State opening of Parliament on the 21st April 1966, which was also the Queen's 40th birthday. The dress was trimmed with duchess satin and encrusted with diamante which is reflected in the barrel of the Jubilee pen. The barrel is acid etched with a drop pearl effect and painted in a special pearlescent finish.
The pen features a platinum trim with the V&A Platinum Jubilee Emblem Competition's award winning emblem designed by Edward Roberts embossed to the knurled twist-action button at the end.
The V&A Platinum Jubilee Emblem competition was set up by the Royal Household in partnership with the V&A and invited people aged 13-25 to design an emblem for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. The emblem - in regal purple - was prominent at celebrations tributed to Her Majesty's 70 year reign.
The Tornado Classic is a retractable rollerball. There is a knurled twist-action button at the end, to extend the tip, and a slotted metal pocket clip. It's supplied in special edition Jubilee themed cylinder which doubles as a pen stand as well as a protective case.
Refill with either a liquid ink or ballpoint refill. Accepts Parker-Type G2 Refills.
Orders placed before 3pm Monday to Friday will normally be sent out the same day.
FREE Royal Mail Standard delivery for orders over £40, and just £3 for smaller orders. Royal Mail Priority is available as an option, for £2.50 on orders over £40, £5.50 on smaller orders. Express available for £7.50, or FREE with any order over £400. No delivery surcharges for Northern Ireland, Highlands & Islands or anywhere else!
International deliveries vary in cost, so you'll need to add the items you want to your basket, and enter the checkout to see the options for delivery. Prices and payment methods will reflect your country, and many countries have all taxes and duties included to make things easier and more predictable.
For all orders outside the UK, heavy orders may cost more to send, but the shipping cost will be displayed in the checkout before you commit.
