You might not have thought that scissors needed fixing, but that's not how Japanese manufacturers think. They're always looking for little improvements that can make a real difference. And these Fitcut Curve scissors are a great example. And this pair are left-handed, because why should only right-handed people get the best scissors?
- Standard scissors cut at a very different angle as you close the blades - starting very obtuse, but leading to a very acute angle as the cut approaches the tip. The curved blades of these scissors means the angle stays close to the ideal 30-degree cutting angle all the way.
- The ring around the centre joint makes the two parts more stable, with less possible movement, and a more precise cutting action.
- The blades are made to touch only as they actually cut, reducing the tendency for tape to stick to the blades when cutting through paper or card with tape on it.
- Rubber handle inserts make them more comfortable to use.
- Rounded tips make them safer.
