The Platinum #3776 Oshino, with its beautiful transparent barrel, is named after the crystal-clear waters of the Oshino Hakkai springs, a series of eight ponds located in the Mt Fuji Five Lakes area.
Clear crystal AS resin barrel with rhodium-plated trim. The nib is a beautiful piece of work, made in-house at Platinum, and hand-tested at the factory. 14kt gold, plated with rhodium.
Weight 20g, 140mm long closed, 120mm open, 155mm posted. 15.4mm maximum barrel diameter.
The Platinum #3776 Century range features the 'Slip and Seal' airtight screw-on cap, an innovative system which uses an inner plastic seal with a strong spring. The primary benefit of this system is improved storage ability - the ink will not dry out even if left for over a year. It also allows use of Platinum Carbon and Pigment inks. An added benefit is improved resistance to leaks due to pressure changes.
Supplied with a converter for use with bottled ink. Platinum recommends Platinum Fountain Pen Ink, though of course any quality bottled ink can be used. Also takes Platinum ink cartridges.
The #3776 name comes from the height in metres of Mt.Fuji, the highest and most beautiful peak in Japan.
Supplied gift-boxed.
Orders placed before 3pm Monday to Friday will normally be sent out the same day.
