Onoto pens are on occasion designed to commemorate influential historical persons, institutions and other circumstances where a special pen would pay the perfect homage.
The Nelson collection commemorates the extraordinary career of one of Britain's most respected naval commanders, Lord Horatio Nelson, whose demise aboard HMS Victory at the Battle of Trafalgar earned him a state funeral.
The Nelson pen is limited to 100 pieces and incorporates silver retrieved from HMS Victory. It's constucted from solid sterling silver, with the barrel crafted in the shape of Nelson's Column. The cap is a work of art in its own right, being intricately enamelled in a rich cobalt blue with an engine-turned wave pattern beneath.
The gold-plated pocket clip features the iconic chevron design and Onoto logo, while the cap end features a gilded silver button based on the fouled anchor buttons found on Nelson's uniform. The cap features the signature of the great man, and the dates of his birth and death, and 3 gilded silver cap bands represent the braid on the sleeve of Nelson's uniform.
Fitted with an 18 carat gold Onoto size 7 nib available in a range of sizes. Refill with widely-available standard pattern ink cartridges, or fit the converter (supplied with the pen) to use bottled ink.
Dimensions: 140mm long, weighs 90g. This pen is not designed to be posted. Supplied in a gift box.
Orders placed before 3pm Monday to Friday will normally be sent out the same day.
FREE Royal Mail Standard delivery for orders over £100, and just £3.50 for smaller orders. Royal Mail Priority is available as an option, for £3.50 on orders over £100, £5.50 on smaller orders. Express available for £9, or FREE with any order over £400. No delivery surcharges for Northern Ireland, Highlands & Islands or anywhere else!
