The design of the Onoto Magna Classic is based on one of the most famous fountain pens ever made - the Onoto Magna of 1937, which some have dubbed 'the best fountain pen ever made'.
Onoto pens are on occasion designed to commemorate influential historical persons, institutions and other circumstances where a special pen would pay the perfect homage.
This pen commemorates Sequoyah, a Native American polymath who invented the Cherokee syllabary in 1821, enabling reading and writing in Cherokee. This is a special edition limited to 200, and celebrates the bicentennial of Sequoyah's achievement.
Made from high density acrylic, the red wood-effect barrel is inspired by the Sequoia tree. Like its inspiration, it is satisfyingly robust, with polished sterling silver trim in the form of 3 cap bands, a pocket clip inscribed with a chevron pattern and the Onoto logo, which also features on the cap button.
Fitted with a gold-plated stainless steel Onoto size 7 nib, available in a range of sizes. Refill with widely-available standard pattern ink cartridges, or fit a converter (supplied with the pen) to use bottled ink.
Available with two weight options: 25g or 32g. Use the drop-down list to select your preference.
Dimensions: closed 140.5mm, uncapped 127mm, posted 132mm.
Supplied in a luxury gift box.
Orders placed before 3pm Monday to Friday will normally be sent out the same day.
FREE Royal Mail Standard delivery for orders over £100, and just £3.50 for smaller orders. Royal Mail Priority is available as an option, for £3.50 on orders over £100, £5.50 on smaller orders. Express available for £9, or FREE with any order over £400. No delivery surcharges for Northern Ireland, Highlands & Islands or anywhere else!
