The multiple award-winning Drehgriffel Nr. 1 is now also available with a gel refill. The pen is made from precision-milled aluminium and brass, and the gel refill was developed in Japan, a country well known for its writing culture.
The refill is designed to reproduce, as accurately as possible in everyday writing, the fineness of ink strokes that were traditionally made with a brush. It’s inspired by Shodō, a Japanese word often translated as “the way of artistic handwriting” or beautiful writing. It describes the moment a thought flows through the hand and becomes visible on paper. The 0.5mm stroke gives a filigree line, and the ceramic ball bearing makes this a premium instrument for writing and drawing.
