Electronic gadgets are great for organising your life: you can be woken up, told how many steps you've completed in a day, advised that your heart isn't working hard enough, reminded of meetings, doctor's appointments and parents' evenings, and alerted that your BFF is having a fab time in Lanzarote. But there's a lot to be said for using a good old-fashioned notebook and a pen, particularly as they don't need charging. The thing is, sometimes a notebook just isn't quite… enough.
LEUCHTTURM1917 solved the certain something that's missing by producing the Bullet Journal - and now there's version 2!
This updated notebook is designed - like the original - for people who like 'to do' lists, but would like to be more organised. It's for those who like to set goals, both long- and short-term. It's for reminders, recording achievements and dealing with failures. But best of all, it enables the user to create their own system of organisation, using symbols, different colours, different pens, drawings, maps… whatever you like. And because bullet journaling is supposed to make your life simpler and more structured, the Bullet Journal is exactly that: simple and structured.
Inside the front cover is a Grid Guide, to help you layout your pages. There's a Bullet Key, Index and Future Log. The pages are dotgrid, as you'd expect, but contain very subtle guidelines designed to divide up the grid into useful tables, rows and columns. The margins in this new version are a little wider, to enable great headers and bold borders.
This is a sensibly-sized book with a sturdy cover in appealing colours; an elasticated loop to keep everything together; three different coloured fabric page markers, so you can keep your eye on more than one spot in your journal; 206 numbered pages of superb-quality, sustainably-sourced 120gsm cream paper and a few tips and hints on how to get started. It even opens flat and comes with a sheet of stickers for archiving.
This is your (even better) life in A5.
