Who would have thought that a city so famous for its beef could also inspire such a fantastic range of inks?
Well we did.. we've known about Kobe inks and Nagasawa for a while and we're delighted we've finally got our hands on them!
No, in fact, Kobe -while very famous for its beef- is actually a beautiful part of Japan located in the southern side of Japan's main island: Honshu. They've really got it all and are spoiled with picturesque views of the Rokkō mountain range on one side and fabulous scenes of Osaka Bay on the other. Of course the city is rather large too and offers spectacular city views.
It's easy enough to see why there is such a massive range of colours available then, as each ink is inspired by something beautiful in the city.
For example: No.15 Maiko Green takes its namesake from Maiko-Koen train station which is famous for its old pine trees which are said to provide a sense of security and warmth.
No.25 Tarumi Apricot is inspired by the spectacular sunset views that can be seen on Tarumi hill which encompasses views of Kaikyo Bridge, the Akashi Strait and Awaji island.
We could go on but there really are a lot of inks and this little description box would get quite big but we'd encourage you to check out the story behind each ink. They're all unique and inspired by something beautiful in Kobe.
50ml bottle of fountain pen ink provided in a circular bottle. All inks are produced by Sailor.
Orders placed before 3pm Monday to Friday will normally be sent out the same day.
FREE Royal Mail Standard delivery for orders over £100, and just £3.50 for smaller orders. Royal Mail Priority is available as an option, for £3.50 on orders over £100, £5.50 on smaller orders.
