As a tribute to both Roy Conklin and the golden age of fountain pen manufacturing, Conklin's Heritage collection blends the best of vintage design with modern technology.
The Word Gauge takes the design of the original 'Nozac' (no-sac) series that was introduced in the 1930s and blends it with modern materials and manufacturing techniques to create a piston-filling fountain pen. 'Word Gauge' refers to the large viewing window, which is engraved with numbered gradations from 1000 to 5000, giving a rough estimate of the number of words that can be written with the remaining ink.
Handcrafted in Italy from solid bars of resin, the Word Gauge has a screw-on cap that can be securely posted on the end of the pen. The cap also features the famous Conklin 'rocker-style' pocket clip in chrome finish. The barrel is engraved with the model name.
Measures 137mm long closed, 125mm long open, 165mm long posted, 13mm wide. Weighs 26g.
Polished stainless steel nib available in a range of sizes.
Supplied in a luxury Conklin gift box.
All Conklin writing instruments are guaranteed for life against mechanical failure due to faulty workmanship or materials.
