The innovation that made Yard O Led is right there in the name - they created a mechanical pencil that held twelve three-inch long leads inside, so you could actually carry a yard of lead. And they're still making beautiful mechanical pencils today, still hand-made in Birmingham.
These amazing pencils, and the pens to go with them, are crafted from 925 sterling silver, chased with traditional Victorian patterns. Each one is stamped with a hallmark from the British Assay Office, to guarantee the purity of the silver.
Traditional propelling pencil with hand-hammered barley pattern. Square body and ball-ended clip. This pen is an update to an old model, 'The Deco 34', which used to be made in 1930. When Lt Leslie March was shot in 1942, his Deco 34 pencil took the bullet, saving his life. This 'Lucky' limited edition remembers that original pencil.
Supplied in a luxury gift box and pouch.
