S. T. Dupont began making luxury goods for travellers in Rue Dieu in Paris, in 1872. But it wasn't until 1973, at the request of Jackie Kennedy Onassis, that they made their first pen. With hindsight, it was probably an obvious thing to do. They were well respected for their lighters, which are a combination of precision mechanisms and jewellery-grade finishes, made to be stylish accessories. The same skills and craftsmanship translate perfectly to making pens.
This larger version of the Line D gives the classic pen a bit more width and a little more length. It doesn't look very different, but it's quite a different pen to hold - larger, wider, more comfortable for those with larger hands or who just prefer a bigger pen. Outwardly very similar, the styling adds a bit more curve to the cap, and a lined pattern to the grip section.
A beautifully shiny guilloche engraving is enhanced by a layer of light blue lacquer, making it smooth to the touch, while the pattern catches the light.
Liquid-ink rollerball pen with pull cap for quick access. Fitted with super-smooth black-ink refill.
149mm long capped, 127mm uncapped, 12.5mm wide. Weighs 48g.
Orders placed before 3pm Monday to Friday will normally be sent out the same day.
FREE Royal Mail Standard delivery for orders over £100, and just £3.50 for smaller orders. Royal Mail Priority is available as an option, for £3.50 on orders over £100, £5.50 on smaller orders.
