This Special Edition Pelikan Souveran M600 fountain pen is a really stunning representation of the work of Glauco Cambon, an Italian based painter and graphic designer born in 1875. He was extraordinarily talented but it wasn't until 1907 that he found his fame in two of his paintings 'Portrait of Attilo Hortis' and 'Music'. He entered his work into a Pelikan poster competition held for Art Painters and Architects in 1909 for which he won a prize, and had his work purchased by Pelikan.
This new special edition is named after the artist himself and brings his art to life on a modern canvas. The M600 is intricately crafted using the 'Aurora Process' which involves working on a brass tube initially which is engraved and guilloched to create fine grooves that give a unique holographic effect to the barrel. Ten layers of clear lacquer are then applied to give a beautifully smooth surface and then the imagery is applied and polished to give the pen its iconic glistening glossy finish.
Fitted with a 14 carat bi-colour gold nib available in a range of sizes. Piston-filling mechanism suitable for use with all fountain pen inks.
Supplied in a gift box. Use Edelstein Mandarin ink to make using this pen extra special.
Approximate Dimensions: Capped length 130mm, barrel diameter 12.5mm, weight 20g.
