Fountain pens may not be the first choice when it comes to writing instruments for children. But why not? They are no less easy to write with than any other pen, although the escape of ink may be more of a likelihood than with a ballpoint. (Washable ink will take care of that little problem). However, there are a few things to consider when choosing a fountain pen for your child, because it’s hard enough learning to write as it is without trying to do it with a pen more suited to an adult.
So… sturdy but lightweight is good, and if it’s a bit on the chunky side with an ergonomic grip, then so much the better. The LAMY abc fountain pens offer all those things. And just as importantly it needs to not break the bank. If only because it wouldn’t be the first time a kid lost something at school.
