Pelikan's Limited Edition Souveran M1000 fountain pen combines Japanese decorative craftmanship with Pelikan's famous Souveran series. Medium pen nib. Limited to just 400 pens worldwide.
Raden is a traditional Japanese decorative craft. Working with small pieces of mother of pearl, with each piece cut by hand to create a unique and distinctive patterned fountain pen. Each pen is crafted by hand and truly unique.
The first step to creating these pens is to use Japanese Urushi lacquer to give the surface of the pen a deep black base. The traditional rectangular pieces are made with particles from mother of pearl shell. These are then fixed to the cap and barrel with a coating of lacquer. Layers of urushi lacquer are then built up, with the addition of finely-ground sterling silver powder, to add a subtle sparkle. Finally, the artist individually signs and numbers each pen with the Maki-e technique.
Fill using bottled fountain pen ink. Supplied in a traditional Japanese gift box made of Paulownia wood.

FREE Royal Mail Standard delivery for orders over £100, and just £3.50 for smaller orders. Royal Mail Priority is available as an option, for £3.50 on orders over £100, £5.50 on smaller orders. Express available for £9, or FREE with any order over £400. No delivery surcharges for Northern Ireland, Highlands & Islands or anywhere else!
