Inspired by the ideals of the Bauhaus, Otto Hutt's goal is simple: To create high-quality products in a unique style. They were founded in 1920 by Karl Hutt, that's over 100 years ago, so it has clearly worked!
Otto Hutt started out making writing instruments and pocket accessories made of silver intended for everyday use. Karl Hutt founded the company but its name is taken from his son, Otto, who took over the company from his father in the 1960s. Making items from silver is a tradition which has carried through to today, with many of their pens still featuring parts made from sterling silver.
Guaranteeing a beautiful writing experience at an affordable price, the design 01 is part of Otto Hutt's entry range of fine writing instruments. Optimal for those who want to try out the range without committing to some of the more pricey options.
Make no mistake though, this is still an Otto Hutt pen and as such is made to the highest standard. Each pen features a brass barrel which is coated with four layers of lacquer which is then matted. Not only does this give the pen a beautiful finish to look at but it's practical too. The highly durable lacquer coating could probably withstand a bullet(okay not really, please don't shoot the pen. You get the point though, they're durable and made to last). The caps sleeves are also made from brass, then given a satin finish and coated with high quality ruthenium and of course the pen is trimmed with ruthenium coating. Entry level for Otto Hutt. Exceptional quality and luxurious for many others.
The design 01 will be a companion for life. It features a slimmer profile than other Otto Hutt pen ranges which keeps the cost and weight down. Engraved with a unique six-digit serial number unique to each pen. Refillable using international standard sized ink cartridges or supplied converter for use with bottled ink. Stainless steel nib.
Approx dimensions: Measures 135mm length; Weighs 25g.

FREE Royal Mail Standard delivery for orders over £100, and just £3.50 for smaller orders. Royal Mail Priority is available as an option, for £3.50 on orders over £100, £5.50 on smaller orders. Express available for £9, or FREE with any order over £400. No delivery surcharges for Northern Ireland, Highlands & Islands or anywhere else!
International
International deliveries vary in cost, so you'll need to add the items you want to your basket, and enter the checkout to see the options for delivery. Prices and payment methods will reflect your country, and many countries have all taxes and duties included to make things easier and more predictable.
