Kilk, whose roots go back to a small workshop in Istanbul, offer a range of writing instruments designed with the concepts of aesthetics, ergonomics and durability strongly in mind.
Meaning 'Bright Room' in Latin, the Camera Laterna fountain pen is inspired by cinema and designed for cinema lovers. The design of this fountain pen is exquisite and even comes with moving parts.
The barrel is variegated resin, designed to resemble a camera lens with a stepped body. The pocket clip and the metal band even look like a film strip. The band has a more practical use though: it acts as a weighted counter balance to bring the centre of mass of the pen back to the centre rather than putting it into the tip making it much more comfortable to hold for long writing sessions.
Our favourite part is the cap though. It's completely aesthetic but how could you not love it?
It features a spinner on top which when spun, mimics the appearance of a movie reel. Unending fidgety goodness.
The pen is perfectly capable of being posted too and is actually designed with this in mind. The cap is vacuum-fitted so it doesn't affect the barrel at all, so rest assured you won't have any annoying scuffs or rings appearing in that beautiful black resin barrel because of the cap.
Steel nib available in a range of sizes. Refill using international standard sized cartridges or fit the supplied converter for use with bottled ink.
Supplied gift-boxed with a cleaning cloth and supporting documentation.
