Advent calendars. Little adventures leading you to Christmas. There's a nostalgia to them; many of us have fond memories of opening the little doors on the days before Christmas, excited to see what prize awaits. Somehow it didn't seem to matter that the actual prizes were usually a bit rubbish - a bit of badly-formed plastic, or if we were lucky, some exceedingly low quality chocolate.
But we grew up. Well, we got older, anyway. And became less impressed with a bit of malformed plastic behind a cardboard door. But the advent calendars grew up too! Now there are a variety of advent calendars much better suited to our more sophisticated tastes, so there are advent calendars with treats of cheese, gin, or just chocolate that's actually good. But we're not interested in those*. We want stationery. We're Cult Pens. And Diamine came to the rescue with the Inkvent Calendar, with a different ink every day. Or if you want something more varied, we've made our own, with stationery selections sure to surprise. Well, as long as you resist the spoiler-filled list of what's in there - that's just so you can check the value you're getting if you don't want to be surprised, or if it's a gift. But we'd recommend avoiding it, the surprise is where the fun is.
* OK, we do love a bit of cheese. This is Devon, after all.
