Friedrich Grube owned Kaweco around 1950 and he loved dogs, especially German Shepherd dogs which were his favourites. These dogs were a symbol of loyalty and reliability. That is why the German Shepherd became the new heraldic animal of Kaweco in 1951.
This is a must have desk accessory. The dog is designed to hold your Kaweco pen in their mouth and sits on top of a money box where they will happily guard your coins. Although they won't wag their tail when you give them a pat, we would still encourage you to do so, they're a good dog!
