How can you improve on the humble ballpoint pen, though? Well, perhaps it's not a case of improvement but of 'stripping down': offering a ballpoint pen that does what you want it to, and nothing more. So its barrel is plastic, rather than metal, which keeps it lightweight, and the grip is non-slip, so your fingers don't slide down towards the tip. A simple push of the button will extend the tip, which is a popular 0.7mm; it's refillable, and the oil-based ink is low viscosity, so it writes nice and smoothly. There's a pocket clip, too, so you can keep it with you at all times.
