Caran d'Ache
Caran d'Ache was founded in Geneva in 1915 and remains Switzerland's only manufacturer of writing instruments. Designed, developed and manufactured in Thônex-Geneva, they have become known for their range of gold and jewelled pens, along with lighters, wallets, cases and other lifestyle accessories. You'll probably also know them for their coloured pencils - especially in a tin of 12 bearing a picture of Swiss alpine scenery. We stock a good selection of their art products, including the Prismalo, Supracolor and Luminance pencils. However, in many ways, the most interesting products for us pen geeks lie in their 'Office' range - especially the wonderful 849 Metal Ballpoint and the fabulous Fixpencil series of clutch pencils. Check out also the nice items in their office pencil range - Technograph pencils, nice rubber erasers and super-solid metal desk sharpeners.
The slim retractable ballpoint made from aluminium is now available - while stocks last - in a selection of stylish colours inspired by Paul Smith's signature stripe motif. Each Paul Smith 849 carries the designer's familiar signature and is supplied in an ultra-thin presentation tin decorated with the Paul Smith stripes.
