Pelikan Souverän M809 fountain pen in matte black. All black - black barrel, black cap, black trim, black nib. The finish is textured, making it comfortable and easy to hold. The cap is polished and smooth, for a contrast in textures. Pelikan call it "a design statement in deep, uncompromising black". And that sounds a bit dramatic, but it's a pretty dramatic-looking pen.
Admittedly it would be the pen of choice for Darth Vader; but also for Batman, Disaster Area, the Men In Black, and Granny Weatherwax. So the bad guys are very outnumbered.
The M809 features a differential piston filling system; hand-finished black 18ct/750 gold nib; brass components; black brass trim. A precision instrument of the highest quality.
