Speedball's history goes back to 1899, when the word 'pen' meant what we'd now call a dip nib. They made top quality nibs that could hold more ink than others of the time, writing for longer between dips, giving writers and artists that extra speed.
Their product range has extended over the years, but they're still best known for their high quality pens and nibs for calligraphy and drawing.
