'Ello, it's the ilo, the Pelikan ilo fountain pen! This has been designed particularly with young people in mind, especially those who are apt to do a lot of writing, because the ilo makes prolonged scribbling sessions comfortable.
It's lightweight, but sturdy, with a stainless steel nib. There is a soft touch grip area to reduce pressure on the much-beleaguered middle finger, thus reducing fatigue. The ink window gives instant access to how much ink is left, so there's less chance of running out at a crucial moment. And when you do need to refill, it takes a large capacity ink cartridge, so there's no messing about with ink bottles.
'Ilo' is Finnish for 'joy'. I love writing, perhaps, or Piloken. But maybe not.
