Schneider's Base Kid fountain pen grows with your child: the short barrel is perfect for small hands, while the long barrel is better for when they get older.
It features a rubberised grip area for comfort, with a slight lip to prevent fingers slipping down onto the nib, which is iridium-tipped and pressure-resistant. There are choices for both left- and right-handers, and it takes standard pattern ink cartridges. Or you could fit a converter (available separately) to use bottled ink. Oh, and it's pretty tough, too!
