The Sailor Shi Rei IV Ochiguri-iro fountain pen is part of Sailor's fourth series of 'Rei' fountain pens. Ochiguri-iro is a poetic colour name to express a slightly reddish brown colour such as a chestnut. From the Heian period, this colour was often used to describe nobleness with an elegant modesty.
This attractive pen comes in a lacquered finish designed by the artist Hirokazu Shimamori. The barrel and cap are made from ebony wood and the grip section is made from black PMMA resin.
21K gold medium nib. Takes Sailor ink cartridges or use the supplied converter for use with bottled ink.
Supplied with a paulownia wooden presentation box containing a pen pouch, cleaning cloth, black cartridges, a converter and an instruction manual.
