A collaboration between the PLUS corporation of Japan and Sailor, this Professional Gear Slim fountain pen is inspired by sea creatures, specifically jellyfish. Both feared and admired in equal parts, jellyfish are among the most intriguing inhabitants of our oceans, ranging in size from the enormous Lion's Mane, the bell of which can grow up to 2 metres, to the tiny (and deadly) Irukandji of Australian waters.
The design of the dark blue semi-translucent barrel is reminiscent of moonlit waters featuring the eerie luminescence of jellyfish tentacles. The translucent cap is topped with an insignia inspired by a jellyfish bell, and protects the 14 carat gold rhodium-plated nib, which is inscribed with a jellyfish and a moon.
The pen is supplied in a themed box (a box(ed) jellyfish!) along with a 20ml bottle of specially formulated Deep Blue ink and a blue notebook featuring a jellyfish motif.
