Conklin's original Nozac ('no sac') piston-filling fountain pen was first produced in 1931, but had disappeared from the market by 1938. It was advertised as 'the pen that winds like a watch', as the end button was turned in order to draw ink up into the pen.
It hasn't actually changed much in terms of mechanics, but Conklin has used modern technology and production methods to create a pen that is stylish in its simplicity. The design is inspired by the original 10-side faceted models produced in the 1930's.
The 125th anniversary edition is made from a solid rod of anodized avionic aluminium which makes the cap and barrel especially resistant to damage and tarnishing, giving it a timeless look and making it durable enough to last a lifetime. Palladium trimming complements the pen well.
The Conklin Nozac Classic 125 adds a brand new filling technology - the fast filler. Unlike its predecessors, the fast filler activates with a single turn to completely fill the pen and does it up to five times quicker than before. Even the clip has some innovation to it. Each one is custom made using metal injection moulding to produce some of the more intricate details of the design.
14-carat gold nib available in a range of sizes. Each pen is supplied in a custom-made solid wood and leather crescent-shaped box and comes with a fitted sleeve.
All Conklin writing instruments are guaranteed for life against mechanical failure due to faulty workmanship or materials.
