Platinum pitch the #3776 Century Travia as a new fountain pen designed to open the way to the future. It certainly is a lovely looking pen.
The nib is where the Century range earns its keep. And for the Travia, Platinum have used their 'FLAF' nib, as featured on the 'Decade' edition, made for a lighter touch, with a softer feel, closer to their 'SF' nib. A 14K gold nib, plated in ruthenium, matches the rest of the pen, rather than left in a contrasting gold tone. At 142mm capped and a manageable 29.3g, it sits in that sweet spot of feeling substantial without feeling like hard work over a long writing session.
