Along with black ink, blue ink is the other default colour for most pens. Pretty much anything we sell is either available with blue ink, or can be refilled with blue ink. Blue covers a wide spectrum, so we have separate pages for Light Blue ink and Blue-Black ink. The mid-blue shades we cover here are the Royal Blues, Ultramarines, Cobalts and the like - your everyday hard-working no-nonsense blues for school, office and home writing. Blue is quite an interesting colour for handwriting - softer than black, but still with good contrast against white or cream paper. Blue ink is popular in school as many blue formulations are more easily washed out of clothes and skin than blacks.
