Blackwing are renowned all over the world for their quality (and that little square eraser on the end of their pencils!). They're a team of writers, artists, musicians, designers and DIYers who think the world is a little bit better when you slow down. And it's hard to argue with them, the quality of the Blackwing brand is phenomenal, they're clearly doing something right.
The Blackwing Volume 2 pencil takes inspiration from art that brings change and makes reference to the cultural shifts in the era following the Vietnam war in the US. With art taking on darker themes through the likes of the Exorcist and Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon in 1973 giving an insight into the cultural landscape of the time, only for the following year to bring about some of the art forms that shed light on a broken system through the likes of Bob Marley and films such as Chinatown. The pencil directly reflects the contrast with a dark blue barrel featuring glow in the dark cracks which was purposefully selected to represent the duality of art: the light and the dark.
Set of 12 pencils supplied with a gift-box that acts as a pencil cup.
Each pencil also includes their firmest graphite yet - a special 2X firm graphite formulated specially for this release.
