At one time, Rotring were known for making the finest mechanical pencils available anywhere. The Rotring 600 was the mechanical pencil to have if you were serious about your pencil. The technical styling made it popular among mathematicians as well as the more obvious technical drawing crowd. Artists found it and loved it. Even people who were just scribbling notes, but wanted to do it with the very best mechanical pencil.
But times changed, and Rotring moved on, abandoning the 600 and 800 models. After all, who really wanted a super-nice quality mechanical pencil in this digital age?
Well, yes, quite a few of you wanted them. Even used prices started to rise as people scoured the usual auction sites. And, fortunately, Rotring saw their mistake, and brought back the metal favourites to scribble away again. And in a bit of a nod to these more modern times, they've added new colours to the classics. The 600 was always just black or silver, but now you can even have a Rotring 600 in pink. What a concept!
