Luxury Refills and Spares
If you have, or are buying, a luxury pen, the best way to keep it writing just as intended by the manufacturer is to use their original refills. They're the refills made specially for your pen, and would always be our first recommendation when you need replacements.
Do you have to stick with the same brand? No, of course not. There are very good refills from many different brands, and a lot of luxury pens use standard refill types, giving you lots of choice. So if you love your pen, but not quite so much how the refill feels on paper, it's worth experimenting. Maybe an alternative will suit you better. For ballpoint pens, we'd recommend trying hybrid-ink refills, which are usually smoother and write a stronger line.
If you're looking for a premium ballpoint refill or high-quality rollerball refills, you're probably in the right place, though - we have a huge range, so explore your options here.
Luxury Pen Refils FAQ
Are the original refills always the best?
Well, they're the original refills intended for your pen, but that doesn't always mean they'll suit you best. Many luxury pens use a standard type of refills, and if yours does, you can always experiment with other brands to find one that feels best to you - tastes vary, so it's something you'd have to try for yourself.
Are the original refills more expensive than alternatives?
It depends - refills vary a lot in price, and the most expensive won't always be the best for your taste. But most luxury pen brands make refills at reasonable prices, so if they are a standard type, you'll probably find both cheaper and more expensive alternatives.
