While you were throwing away blunt pencil sharpeners, we studied the blade. It was blunt. And, it turns out, spares are available for some pencil sharpeners. So we got them in, so you could stop throwing your sharpeners away and just replace the blades.

Replacement blades aren’t available for all pencil sharpeners, and it can be difficult to tell if one might fit that isn’t specifically sold for your sharpener. So it’s something to keep in mind when buying the pencil sharpener if it’s important to you.

To be honest, for a lot of us, a pencil sharpener lasts so long that it’s hardly worth worrying about. But if you use pencils a lot, and like to keep them sharp, you might blunt those blades enough that spares become a real help. And with high-end rotary sharpeners, it can be really important to be able to replace the blades, to get the years of use from the sharpener that you should expect.
