Black Ink Pens

It's not hard to find black ink pens. Not all blacks are created equal however, and there's a broad spectrum of shades that come under this heading. For the blackest ink, pigment inks outperform the rest - try Uni-ball rollerball pens; drawing pens such as the Staedtler 308, or for fountain pens Platinum's Carbon Black is proper black, but use with care. The best ballpoint pens are pretty black, but some tend towards a greyer shade. Gel pens generally give good black, as will most liquid ink roller pens.
