The Namiki Raden Yukari barrel is made from precious resin with an urushi lacquer coating. The barrel features a beautiful artwork depicting a sparrow flying over a bamboo forest. The artwork is created using a technique known as chinkin.
Chinkin is a technique meaning gold inlay. Motifs are carved into the lacquered surface with special chisels and after inlaying lacquer in the grooves, gold leaves and powder are placed creating striking images in the bodywork of each pen. Due to the complexity of the technique, each image is handmade.
The black barrel and gold artwork are beautifully complemented by a gold-plated pocket clip featuring the Namiki logo.
The bi-colour 18 carat gold nib is a no.10 nib. The nib has the Namiki logo engraved on it, and a depiction of Mount Fuji in chrome.
Supplied with a bottle of black Namiki fountain pen ink in a wooden presentation case with a velvet inlay and a cleaning cloth.
Orders placed before 3pm Monday to Friday will normally be sent out the same day.
FREE Royal Mail Standard delivery for orders over £100, and just £3.50 for smaller orders. Royal Mail Priority is available as an option, for £3.50 on orders over £100, £5.50 on smaller orders.
