As Retro 51 puts it, 'Life is too short to carry an ugly pen'. And we agree. Their bright colours and cool designs have more than a hint of nostalgia about them, and all their pens are made with good old-fashioned values in mind.
Launched from the Kennedy Space Center in April 1981, the Columbia was the first NASA orbiter to reach space and marks an important scientific achievement. It spent over 300 days in space and orbited Earth a whopping 4000 times. The shuttle marked an important step in space travel technology but unfortunately it met a tragic end on the 1st February 2003 after 16 days in space. The 7 crew members have a memorial in Patricia Huffman Smith Museum, Columbia Memorial Space Center.
The Retro 51 Columbia Space Shuttle isn't going to break the boundaries of space - we think - but it is designed in honour of the legendary space shuttle with graphic work resembling the original shuttle.
Refill with either a Schmidt P8127 rollerball refill, or alternatively you could fit an EasyFlow refill if you prefer ballpoints.
