While he was known for his pen and ink drawings, this Souverän pen takes its inspiration from his use of colour, with the bright flowing lines on the barrel echoing the patterning on the dress of the woman in the award-winning work. He was highly influential for commercial artwork, as part of the Jugendstil, Germany's art nouveau movement.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe barrel is created using an 'aurora' process, using a brass tube with an intricate guilloche pattern to create a holographic effect, with ten layers of lacquer over the top to create a smooth surface for the printed pattern. Multiple rounds of polishing then create the high sheen to finish the look.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFitted with a 14 carat bi-colour gold nib available in a range of sizes.
