The Olika is an amazing bargain - a refillable fountain pen that uses standard international cartridges, can use a converter for bottled ink, and has a good comfortable rubber grip, for such a low price. Supplied with three cartridges, so you have everything you need for a while, at least. All that, and a wide choice of colours too!
Yes, it's quite basic, with just a simple plastic clip. There's no decoration, but the body and cap are pleasantly curved for comfort. Then there's the straightforward round rubber grip with a pattern of dimples. It's not fancy, but it works, and feels nice in the hand.
The nibs are steel, with real tipping for a nicer writing experience. The feed is a bit different to most fountain pens. Instead of a path of narrow channels, it's a hidden piece of fibre material, just like the ink feed in a felt-tip pen. Again, it's simple and it works. Yes, it's a bit harder to clean out if you change inks, and it may be harder to rescue if you let it dry out completely, but when the pens cost so little, why not have one for each ink colour you use?
Available with fine or extra fine nibs. Those who like broad lines will have to look elsewhere! Pen body coloured to match ink colour, but in brighter neon shades!
